Geering Up STEM Camp— Volunteer
2021 - 2022
When I was volunteering at this engineering-based kids camp, I noticed that there was only one girl in an entire class of 20 kids. I believe that representation in this industry is something that needs to improve. Seeing women who have excelled in engineering can inspire girls to pursue their interests in STEM, and ultimately, can contribute to a more diverse and inclusive future in engineering.

Women In Engineering Menstrual Drive —Capstone Project
2021 - 2022
My peer and I organized a fundraiser / donation drive for the Downtown Eastside Women's Shelter, and created a woman in stem based website for our capstone project. I learned alot about what it takes to be a woman in engineering, and what we can all do to encourage young girls to pursue STEM related fields.

Women In Engineering Program— University of British Columbia
2021 - 2022
WiE UBC is a student-run organization that promotes gender diversity, equity and inclusion in engineering.
Through this program, I was able to connect with female graduating students in their last years at the University of British Columbia. This program was a pivotal moment for me as I was able be apart of their events, including the annual Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) mentoring event, a non-traditional engineering careers panel, and a workshop on identifying and addressing gender inequality in the workplace.
